Johannesen Maskintransport was grounded in October 1931 by Johannes Johannesen and is now run by the 3. and 4. generation. The company is affiliated with 4 different haulage contractors organisation: Københavns Vognmandslaug, Danske Vognmænd, Foreningen af Danske Eksportmænd and Kranblok ERFA. Johannesen Maskintransport is concentrating on export and domestic transport of machinery and other heavy-duty equipment. Today the company employs app. 30 people of whom many have a craftmanlike background as fitter, mechanic, welder or electronics engineer. Furthermore Johannesen Maskintransport has a branch in Germany with 4 employees mostly for transport of timber.
